Summary

CVE-2023-5408 is a privilege escalation vulnerability found in the node restriction admission plugin of the Kubernetes API server in OpenShift. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to modify the node role label, redirect workloads from control plane and etcd nodes to different worker nodes, and gain broader access to the cluster.
