Summary
CVE-2023-5381 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Elementor Addon Elements plugin for WordPress. This issue, impacting versions up to and including 1.12.7, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in admin settings. The flaw exposes multi-site installations and those with unfiltered_html disabled to the risk of authenticated attackers injecting malicious web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
