Summary

CVE-2023-5372 is a post-authentication command injection vulnerability found in Zyxel NAS326 firmware versions through V5.21(AAZF.15)C0 and NAS542 firmware versions through V5.21(ABAG.12)C0. This vulnerability allows an attacker with administrator privileges to execute operating system commands by sending a crafted query parameter attached to the URL of the affected device's web management interface. The vulnerability has a severity rating of HIGH and poses a potential danger to organizations as it can lead to unauthorized execution of commands and potential compromise of the affected devices. It is recommended for users to update their firmware to a patched version provided by Zyxel to remediate the vulnerability and enhance the security of their systems.
