Summary
CVE-2023-5325 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Woocommerce Vietnam Checkout plugin for WordPress. The issue stems from a failure to properly escape user-supplied data in the custom shipping phone field on the checkout form. An attacker could exploit this XSS (Cross-Site Scripting) flaw to inject malicious code and potentially steal sensitive user information such as session cookies or other data. The vulnerable plugin version is below 2.0.6. Users are encouraged to update to the latest version or consider disabling the custom shipping phone field as a temporary workaround until a patch is available.
