Summary
CVE-2023-52783 is a recently identified vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel. This issue arises when the net: wangxun subsystem fails to allocate memory for 'wx->mac_table' prior to the function wx_sw_init() being called. Consequently, a null pointer is encountered, leading to a kernel panic. Systems utilizing custom subsystem vendor IDs are particularly susceptible to this vulnerability. The affected Linux kernel versions have been updated to address this issue.
