Summary
CVE-2023-5232 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Font Awesome More Icons plugin for WordPress. This issue, occurring in versions up to and including 3.5, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the 'icon' shortcode. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher can inject malicious web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever an end-user accesses an injected page.
