Summary
CVE-2023-52191 is a Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Infogram's "Add charts, maps and infographics" tool, version 1.6.1 and below. The flaw stems from improper neutralization of user input during web page generation. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious scripts into infographics, allowing them to execute unauthorized code in users' browsers when viewing the affected infographics. This can result in information theft, session hijacking, and other malicious activities. Users are advised to update the tool to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
