Summary
CVE-2023-5218 is a critical vulnerability affecting Google Chrome versions prior to 118.0.5993.70. This issue, located in Site Isolation, allows a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a specially crafted HTML page. The attacker could leverage this use-after-free vulnerability to execute arbitrary code, gaining unauthorized access or control over an affected system. Users are strongly encouraged to update their Google Chrome browsers to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
