Summary
CVE-2023-5215 is a vulnerability affecting the libnbd library. The issue arises when a server responds with a block size exceeding the maximum allowed value of 2^63. This anomalous response could cause applications using NBD clients to crash or exhibit unintended behavior if they fail to properly handle the nbd_get_size() function return value. The NBD specification specifies the size as a 64-bit unsigned value, and servers should adhere to this restriction to prevent such issues.
