Summary
CVE-2023-52139 is a vulnerability affecting Misskey, an open-source decentralized social media platform. third-party apps can improperly access some endpoints or Websocket APIs that are mistakenly specified as public, bypassing user permissions. This can lead to leakage of confidential information, such as object storage secret keys and SMTP server passwords, if the authenticated user is an administrator. In addition, general users might be able to create invitation codes without authorization and disclose non-public user information. This issue has been resolved in version 2023.12.1 of Misskey.
