Summary

CVE-2023-52083 is a vulnerability that affects Winter, a free and open-source content management system. Versions prior to 1.2.4 are susceptible to stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. Users with the `media.manage_media` permission can upload files to the Media Manager and rename them, but the files were only sanitized on upload, not on renaming. The vulnerability has been patched in version 1.2.4 of Winter.
