Summary

CVE-2023-5180 is a vulnerability discovered in Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK before 2024.12. It affects multiple products, including hAicIj, lGaYni, hAicIi, uBrjgG, lGaYnj, qGYd-8, taCroL, taCroM, and cuF3bO. The vulnerability arises from a corrupted value of the number of sectors used by the Fat structure in a crafted DGN file, leading to an out-of-bounds write. Exploiting this vulnerability allows an attacker to execute code within the current process. With a base severity rating of HIGH, it poses a significant risk to organizations as it can potentially compromise confidentiality and integrity. Remediation for this vulnerability involves updating to the patched version released after 2024.12 of Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK.
