Summary
CVE-2023-51738 is a vulnerability that affects the Skyworth Router CM5100, version 4.1.1.24. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient validation of user input for the Network Name (SSID) parameter on the router's web interface. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by providing specially crafted input to the parameter on the targeted system's web interface. The successful exploitation of this vulnerability could enable the attacker to carry out stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks on the targeted system. The base severity of this vulnerability is rated as MEDIUM with a CVSS score of 5.4, posing a potential risk to organizations using this router model if left unremediated.
