Summary

CVE-2023-5162 is a vulnerability in the Options for Twenty Seventeen plugin for WordPress, affecting versions up to and including 2.5.0. The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts through the 'social-links' shortcode, leading to stored cross-site scripting. This can result in the execution of malicious scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page.
