Summary

CVE-2023-5110 is a vulnerability in the BSK PDF Manager plugin for WordPress, affecting versions up to and including 3.4.1. The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts via the 'bsk-pdfm-category-dropdown' shortcode, due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This can result in stored cross-site scripting attacks, where the injected scripts execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability has a base severity rating of MEDIUM, with a base score of 6.4 according to CVSS:3.1, indicating a moderate level of danger for organizations using the affected products.
