Summary
CVE-2023-51042 is a vulnerability affecting Linux kernel versions prior to 6.4.12. In the amdgpu_cs.c file of the AMD GPU driver, there is a flaw in the amdgpu_cs_wait_all_fences function. This issue results in a use-after-free condition, allowing an attacker who has control over the GPU command buffer to execute arbitrary code and potentially gain elevated privileges. This vulnerability could lead to significant security risks if exploited.
