Summary
CVE-2023-5096 is a vulnerability in the HTML filter and csv-file search plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 2.7. The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts via the plugin's 'csvsearch' shortcode. This could result in stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks, where arbitrary scripts execute when users access the injected pages. The affected products include various versions of WordPress (tYxz2s, tYxz2t, tYxz2u, tYxz2v, tYxz2q, tYxz2r, tYxz2w, tYxz2x, and tYxz2y).
