Summary
CVE-2023-50774 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Jenkins HTMLResource Plugin version 1.02 and earlier. This issue permits cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks, granting malicious actors the ability to delete arbitrary files on the Jenkins controller's file system. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by tricking a user into clicking a specially crafted link, leading to unintended file deletions. Successful exploitation could result in data loss and potential system compromise. Jenkins users are strongly advised to upgrade to a patched version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
