Summary

CVE-2023-5076 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Ziteboard Online Whiteboard plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 2.9.9, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient sanitization and output escaping of the 'ziteboard' shortcode, leading to the execution of injected scripts whenever a user accesses an affected page.
