Summary

CVE-2023-5070 is a vulnerability found in the Social Media Share Buttons & Social Sharing Icons plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability affects versions up to and including 2.8.5 of the plugin. The vulnerability allows subscribers to export plugin settings that contain sensitive information, such as social media authentication tokens, secrets, and app passwords. The affected products include various versions of sQqueg, sQqueT, sQqueS, sQqueV, sQqueU, sQqueX, sQqueW, sQqueZ, sQqueY, sQqueb, sQquea, sQqued, sQquec, sQquef, and sQquee. The potential danger to an organization is high confidentiality impact since the exposure of authentication tokens and app passwords can lead to unauthorized access and compromise of social media accounts.
