Summary
CVE-2023-5062 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WordPress Charts plugin. This issue, present in versions up to 0.7.0, stems from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the 'wp_charts' shortcode. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious web scripts. These scripts will be executed whenever a user visits an injected page.
