CVE-2023-50463 is a vulnerability in the caddy-geo-ip middleware, specifically versions up to 0.6.0 of this package used with Caddy 2. This issue enables attackers to manipulate their IP address in X-Forwarded-For headers, allowing them to bypass certain protection mechanisms such as the trusted_proxy directive in reverse_proxy or IP address range restrictions.
