Summary

CVE-2023-50263 is a vulnerability that affects Nautobot, a Network Source of Truth and Network Automation Platform built on the Django Python framework with a PostgreSQL or MySQL database. In versions 1.x and 2.0.x prior to 1.6.7 and 2.0.6, the URLs `/files/get/?name=...` and `/files/download/?name=...` allow unauthorized access to files uploaded as part of a run request for a Job that has FileVar inputs. This vulnerability does not require user authentication by default, potentially exposing sensitive files to unauthorized users. Although an unauthenticated user would need to guess the file names to exploit this vulnerability, it still poses a risk to organizations using Nautobot. To remediate this vulnerability, restricting access to the URLs or implementing user authentication is recommended. The CVSS v3.1 score for this vulnerability is 5.3 (Medium severity) with a base score of 1.4 for impact and an exploitability score of 3.9, according to NIST's National Vulnerability Database (NVD).
