Details
Summary
CVE-2023-50263 is a vulnerability affecting Nautobot, a Network Source of Truth and Automation Platform. In versions 1.x and 2.0.x prior to 1.6.7 and 2.0.6, the platform's URLs `/files/get/?name=...` and `/files/download/?name=...` offer unauthenticated access to files uploaded during job execution. These files, which are typically ephemeral and deleted post-execution, can be accessed without authentication if an attacker knows the file name. This issue, which does not permit directory traversal or file listing, is considered a vulnerability as it allows unauthenticated users to download specific files. The vulnerability is addressed in Nautobot versions 1.6.7 and 2.0.6, with no known workarounds other than applying the patches.
