Summary

CVE-2023-50096 is a high-severity vulnerability that affects STMicroelectronics STSAFE-A1xx middleware before version 3.3.7. The vulnerability allows an attacker to execute malicious code on the MCU if they have access to read from and write to the I2C bus. The vulnerability specifically stems from a buffer overflow in the X-CUBE-SAFEA1 Software Package for STSAFE-A sample applications (1.2.0).
