Summary

CVE-2023-49923 is a vulnerability discovered by Elastic in the Documents API of App Search. This vulnerability allows the raw contents of indexed documents to be logged at the INFO log level, potentially exposing sensitive or private information in the App Search logs. Elastic has released versions 8.11.2 and 7.17.16 to address this issue by changing the log level to DEBUG, which is disabled by default.
