Summary
CVE-2023-49923 is a vulnerability affecting Elastic's App Search Documents API. The issue allows the logging of raw document contents at an INFO log level, potentially exposing sensitive or private information. Elastic has released patches (version 8.11.2 and 7.17.16) to address this issue by changing the log level to DEBUG, which is disabled by default. This vulnerability could lead to unintended data disclosure if an attacker gains access to the App Search logs. Users are urged to upgrade to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
