Summary
CVE-2023-49802 is a vulnerability in the LinkedCustomFields plugin for MantisBT, affecting versions prior to 2.0.1. This vulnerability allows for cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks, enabling the execution of JavaScript code when a specially crafted Custom Field is linked via the plugin and displayed during issue reporting or editing. The issue has been fixed in version 2.0.1. As a workaround, users can utilize MantisBT's default Content Security Policy to block script execution. The vulnerability has a base severity of MEDIUM with a base score of 6.1 according to NIST's National Vulnerability Database (NVD).
