Summary
CVE-2023-49794 is a vulnerability in the KernelSU kernel module for Android devices, specifically affecting versions 0.7.1 and earlier. The vulnerability allows for the bypassing of logic in the module, enabling any malicious APK named `me.weishu.kernelsu` to gain root permission on the device. This can occur if a device with the KernelSU module installed attempts to install an unchecked APK with a package name matching the official KernelSU Manager. At present, there is no patched version available to remediate this vulnerability, posing a potential danger to affected organizations.
