Summary
CVE-2023-49735 is a vulnerability affecting Apache Tiles versions 2 and above. The issue lies in the DefaultLocaleResolver component, where user-controlled data passed to the LOCALE_KEY attribute is not validated during the resolution of XML definition files. This can lead to path traversal and subsequent SSRF/XXE attacks. Notably, this issue only affects unsupported versions of Apache Tiles as the maintainer no longer supports them.
