Summary
CVE-2023-49694 is a vulnerability affecting the NETGEAR ProSAFE Network Management System installed on Windows hosts. A low-privileged OS user can exploit this issue by creating arbitrary JSP files in the Tomcat web application directory. The user is then able to execute these files under the SYSTEM security context, leading to potential serious security consequences. This vulnerability poses a risk to any organization using the affected NETGEAR product on a Windows system.
