Summary
CVE-2023-49686 is a critical vulnerability affecting Job Portal v1.0. The vulnerability allows for multiple unauthenticated SQL injection attacks. Specifically, the 'txtTotal' parameter in the Employer/InsertWalkin.php resource does not properly validate characters before they are sent to the database. As a result, an attacker can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary SQL commands and potentially gain unauthorized access to sensitive data within the organization's database. To remediate this vulnerability, it is recommended to implement proper input validation and sanitization techniques, such as using prepared statements or parameterized queries when interacting with the database. Failure to address this vulnerability can lead to severe consequences for the organization's confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
