Summary

CVE-2023-49599 is an insufficient entropy vulnerability in the salt generation functionality of WWBN AVideo dev master commit 15fed957fb. This vulnerability allows an attacker to escalate privileges by crafting a series of HTTP requests and gathering system information. By brute forcing the salt offline, the attacker can forge a legitimate password recovery code for the admin user. The base severity of this vulnerability is rated as CRITICAL, with a base score of 9.8 out of 10.
