Summary

CVE-2023-4944 is a vulnerability found in the Awesome Weather Widget for WordPress plugin, affecting versions up to and including 3.0.2. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts through the 'awesome-weather' shortcode, leading to stored cross-site scripting attacks. Insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes contribute to this vulnerability.
