Summary
CVE-2023-4931 is a newly disclosed uncontrolled search path element vulnerability affecting Plesk Installer version 3.27.0.0. This issue allows a local attacker to exploit the application by injecting malicious DLL files into the same directory where the software is installed. As a result, the attacker can potentially hijack the execution of edputil.dll, samlib.dll, urlmon.dll, sspicli.dll, propsys.dll, and profapi.dll files, leading to arbitrary code execution. This vulnerability poses a significant risk and requires immediate attention and patching from Plesk Installer users.
