Summary

CVE-2023-49276 is a vulnerability in Uptime Kuma, an open source self-hosted monitoring tool. The vulnerability affects versions of Uptime Kuma that have the Google Analytics element, which is vulnerable to Attribute Injection leading to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. This vulnerability allows for potential exploitation through the custom status interface, where an independent Google Analytics ID can be set without proper sanitization of the template. The vulnerability has been addressed in release version 1.23.7, and users are advised to upgrade their software to this version. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
