Summary
CVE-2023-49256 is a newly identified cybersecurity vulnerability that allows unauthorized downloading of configuration backups. This issue arises due to the lack of adequate access controls. The most concerning aspect of this vulnerability is that the downloaded backups include encrypted passwords which can be decrypted using a hardcoded static key, posing a significant security risk.
