Summary
CVE-2023-49254 is a new vulnerability that allows authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges by manipulating the "destination" field in network test tools. This issue goes beyond the mitigations implemented for the similar vulnerability CVE-2021-28151, which was addressed on the user interface level. Hackers can bypass these protections by sending direct POST requests, posing a significant risk to affected systems.
