A vulnerability, identified as CVE-2023-49251, has been discovered in SIMATIC CN 4100 (All versions < V2.7). This vulnerability allows an attacker to add their own login credentials to the device through the "intermediate installation" system state. As a result, the attacker can remotely login as root and gain control over the device, even after it's fully set up. The affected products include uKN_5A and uHNMWv. To remediate this vulnerability, it is recommended to update the affected application to version V2.7 or higher.
