Summary
CVE-2023-49145 is a DOM-based cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Apache NiFi versions 0.7.0 through 1.23.2. The JoltTransformJSON Processor, which includes an advanced configuration user interface, is the source of this issue. If an authenticated user visits a specially crafted URL while having the necessary permissions to configure a JoltTransformJSON Processor, an attacker can inject and execute arbitrary JavaScript code within the user's session context. To mitigate this risk, it is recommended to upgrade to Apache NiFi 1.24.0 or 2.0.0-M1.
