Summary

CVE-2023-49105 is a vulnerability found in ownCloud versions before 10.13.1. The vulnerability allows an attacker to access, modify, or delete any file without authentication if they know the victim's username and the victim has no signing-key configured. This security flaw exists because pre-signed URLs can be accepted even when no signing-key is configured for the file owner. The vulnerability has a base severity rating of CRITICAL with a base score of 9.8 out of 10. It poses a high risk to organizations as it could lead to unauthorized access and manipulation of sensitive files. To remediate the vulnerability, organizations are advised to update their ownCloud installation to version 10.13.1 or later.
