Summary
CVE-2023-49092 is a vulnerability affecting RustCrypto/RSA, a Rust-based implementation of RSA encryption. The issue lies in the non-constant-time implementation of the library, which inadvertently leaks information about the private key through observable timing differences. An attacker with network access could potentially use this information to recover the key. No fix has been released yet, and as a temporary solution, users are advised to avoid using RustCrypto/RSA in settings where attackers can monitor timing information.
