Summary
CVE-2023-49089 is a vulnerability affecting Umbraco, an ASP.NET content management system (CMS). Versions 8.0.0 and prior to versions 8.18.10, 10.8.1, and 12.3.0 are affected by this vulnerability. It allows Backoffice users with permissions to create packages to perform path traversal and write outside of the expected location. The issue has been patched in versions 8.18.10, 10.8.1, and 12.3.0 of Umbraco CMS. This vulnerability poses a high risk as it could potentially allow attackers to access sensitive files or execute arbitrary code on the affected systems if exploited successfully, compromising the integrity of the organization's data and infrastructure
