Summary

CVE-2023-49088 is a vulnerability that affects the Cacti open-source operational monitoring and fault management framework. The fix applied for CVE-2023-39515 in version 1.2.25 is incomplete, allowing an attacker to execute malicious code when a user hovers their mouse over the malicious data source path in `data_debug.php`. This cross-site scripting attack requires the attacker to be an authorized Cacti user with specific permissions. Any account with permissions to view `http://<HOST>/cacti/data_debug.php` can be a potential victim. As of now, there is no complete fix available for this vulnerability, posing a potential danger to organizations using Cacti.
