CVE-2023-49082 is a vulnerability in aiohttp, an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. The vulnerability allows an attacker to modify or create an HTTP request if they control the HTTP method. The issue can also lead to request smuggling if the attacker controls the HTTP version. The vulnerability affects multiple products and has a patch available in version 3.9.0. It poses a medium risk with a base severity score of 5.3, but the impact on confidentiality is low. No privileges are required for exploitation, and no user interaction is needed. The attack vector is through the network, and the integrity impact is also low.
