Summary

CVE-2023-49032 is a recently disclosed vulnerability affecting LTB Self Service Password versions prior to 1.5.4. This issue permits a remote attacker to hijack the SMS verification code function, enabling them to execute arbitrary code and ultimately obtain sensitive information. By intercepting the SMS verification codes, an adversary can bypass the multi-factor authentication mechanism and gain unauthorized access to targeted systems or applications. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to organizations and individuals who rely on SMS-based two-factor authentication for securing their digital assets. Upgrading to the latest version of LTB Self Service Password is strongly recommended to mitigate this threat.
