Summary

CVE-2023-48880 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting EyouCMS v1.6.4-UTF8-SP1. This issue enables attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts or HTML into the application by crafting a malicious payload and entering it into the Menu Name field at /login.php?m=admin&c=Index&a=changeTableVal&_ajax=1&lang=cn. Successful exploitation allows attackers to execute scripts in the context of the vulnerable website, potentially leading to unauthorized access, data theft, or other malicious activities. Users are advised to update their EyouCMS installation as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
