Summary

CVE-2023-48866 is a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the recipe preparation component in the /api/objects/recipes and note component in the /api/objects/shopping_lists/ of Grocy versions below 4.0.4. An attacker can exploit this flaw to inject malicious scripts into web pages viewed by other users, potentially stealing their cookies and gaining unauthorized access to their accounts. This poses a significant risk to user privacy and data security. Users are strongly advised to upgrade to the latest version of Grocy as soon as possible to mitigate this threat.
