Summary

CVE-2023-48713 is a vulnerability that affects Knative Serving, which is a platform built on Kubernetes for deploying and serving applications and functions as serverless containers. The vulnerability allows an attacker who controls a pod to cause a denial-of-service (DoS) by exploiting an unbound memory allocation bug in the /metrics endpoint. This can result in a DoS for the cluster, posing a potential danger to organizations using Knative. The issue has been patched in version 0.39.0, and organizations are advised to update their installations to mitigate the risk of exploitation.
