Details
Summary
CVE-2023-48711 is a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability found in applications that use the `google-translate-api-browser` package and expose the `translateOptions` to end users. This vulnerability allows an attacker to manipulate the `tld` field, potentially causing the application to return unsafe URLs pointing to local resources. The `translateOptions.tld` field is not properly sanitized, allowing an attacker with control over the `translateOptions` to set a malicious payload. Through this vulnerability, an attacker can send requests within internal networks and the localhost, posing a potential danger if there are exploitable vulnerabilities in HTTPS applications on the internal network. The vulnerability has been rated as "LOW" severity with a base score of 3.7 out of 10 by [email protected].
