Summary

CVE-2023-48698 is a vulnerability that affects Azure RTOS USBX, a USB host, device, and on-the-go (OTG) embedded stack integrated with Azure RTOS ThreadX. This vulnerability allows an attacker to remotely execute code due to expired pointer dereference vulnerabilities in Azure RTOS USBX. The affected components include functions/processes in the host stack and host classes, specifically related to device linked classes, GSER, and HID in RTOS v6.2.1 and below. To remediate this vulnerability, users are advised to upgrade to USBX release 6.3.0 as there are no known workarounds available.
