Summary
CVE-2023-48519 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier. This vulnerability can be exploited by a low-privileged attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields, allowing for the execution of malicious JavaScript in a victim's browser when they visit the page containing the vulnerable field. The vulnerability has a base severity rating of MEDIUM with a base score of 5.4, according to NIST. To remediate it, organizations should update their Adobe Experience Manager to version 6.5.19 or later, which includes the necessary security patches.
